Sarah the Knife

With her pearly whites and a twinkle in her eye, Sarah sliced and diced Blowhard Joe Biden last night in the Vice Presidential debate.  I was driving home so I only caught bits of the first half hour.  I was disappointed when Sarah blamed the FreddieMae financial fiasco solely on Wall Street and greedy phantoms.  What does that mean anyway - those guys on Wall Street?  Who are they? See, I figure it started in Congress where most of America's punishments begins. Congress, in the name of social equality, created FreddieMae as well as put pressure on banks and mortgage companies to lend to low income people. Not such a good mathematical idea but, hey, put it on our tab, right?  Naturally, and this is what liberals always fail to understand when dealing with fallable humans, FreddieMae 2.0 went to lending to anyone with no money down and 120% loans OR ELSE.  So the lenders did this.  AH! Wait, thought the Dem/libs (and some scum Repubs as well) we can all make some jack on these loans.  Mr. Lender, you lend to middle class and construction firms too.  You will be guaranteed and why not slip a bit o' money back to us for the trouble. And the good citizens?  Well, if someone who should know tells Jakeera O'Rodriguez that they can afford a McMansion, well, what do you think is gonna happen?  Beautiful.  This Ponzi scheme can just go on forever, no?

But I digress.  It turns out, Sarah's answer turned on a lot of independent voters according to Frank Luntz.  So be it.

The next hour, I think Sarah handed Biden's head to him at least 3 times by using Biden's own words about Obama, the Iraq strategy, and energy policy.  I was bored with her when she used talking points, vagueries, and personal stories but she didn't do it too much.  What I really liked was that she boned up on foreign policy.  She gave some good details about Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq.  The most important thing Sarah Palin did was show what an aass Joe Biden and the Dem/libs are.  And she did it with a smile ala Reagan.  She was not perfect but I like her style.  Sarah has star power and I believe she learns fast.  I can't wait to vote for her and Bobby Jindal in 2012.

Now, Joe Biden.  I told my wife that I liked these two people, Sarah and Joe, way better than the other two losers who are running for President.  I said that Joe Biden is just a BSer and a likeable guy.  My wife said, "He's a liar. I don't like him."  Ah, see why I love her?  She is a no nonsense person.  And that is Joe's strong suit.  He just keeps telling us the same things that he's said since 1972 when he first got to Congress. Biden and Obama keep talking about change and the future but Biden lives in the past. Every other statement he started mentioned the current administration.  What do W's boys have to do with the price of tea in China?  Honestly, I tuned out a bit as Joe droned on.  Of course, that is what he's famous for.  I really got irked with him when Biden said, as if talking to idiots, "It was the GEN-A-RAL of the ARM-MEE. NOT. JOE BIDEN.  The GEN-A-RAL."  I wanted to remind Joe that we were forming our opinions of him based on his JUD-JA-MENT. (remember the Roberts hearings?)

The hilarious thing to me is the audacity that Biden has.  He boldly mischaracterizes things. Now whether he knows it at the time I don't know.  But, without checking, I instinctively knew that Biden was wrong about Mac and Obama voting the same way on funding for the troops.  And we all know that Obama said that he would meet with anyone anywhere including Ahmadinijad.  Joe tried to spin it by saying that Mac and Sarah didn't even know that Ahmadinijihad wasn't the real leader of Iran.  Oh really?  Then why did Obama name him as the guy with whom he would meet, hmmm? hahaha - sucker. And then Joe tried to say that he didn't say that he and Obama were against clean coal whatever it was.  I've listened to the whole exchange several times.  He said it. It seems that the common wisdom is that well, Joe beat Sarah on substance and Sarah won on style.  No. The truth is that Biden was incorrect on what he was saying and Karl Rove immediately busted him on 10 counts of it. So, just like his Congressional record, longevity and sounding informed don't mean squat if you're wrong most of the time.

Gwen Ifil did a fair job and I was amazed at this.  I still think it was insane for the moderator to have several hundred thousand dollars riding on an Obama win but it is par for the course for this crazy election.  I am impressed that the McCain camp showed half a brain by painting Ifil into a corner by praising her for being such a fair and swell journalist. Hardeeharhar.  But it worked. She was kind to Sarah, didn't punish her for calling the Afghan general McClellan instead of McKiernan.  Now, what was really shocking was that she actually read back to Biden his own voting and speaking record! Whaaaaa???!  Since when do mainstream media members actually hold Dem/libs accountable?  How refreshing.  The only annoying thing that she did, and I can't blame her cause that's just how things are these days, was that she also kept prefacing her questions or linking them to W and his administration.

So, once again, Sarah was money when it counted.  I'd want her taking the last shot or making the 20 foot downhill putt for the win in a scramble.  Too bad she's saddled with Mac who is the opposite as he's shown with his "leadership" against pork this week.  Hang tough, sister.  2012 is not that far away.
