Revenge of the Mac-I?

I've been thinking about how John "Maverick" McCain will act if he loses the 2008 Presidential Election.  Based on his previous actions after his bitter loss to George Bush, I'd say he's going to make the Republican Party pay.  Maverick is not practiced at making the Dem/libs pay, rather his instincts are to help them any way he can without switching to their party outright. If he loses this race I think the only people to remain loyal to him will be his good buddies Joe Lieberman and Lindsay "Capote" Graham.  (Doesn't Graham's adulation of McCain remind you of Waylon Smither's manlove for Mr. Burns?)  Since he will be yesterday's news and have little support, Maverick will be free to damage the Party as often as possible.

This morning one of the few talk shows that I was able to tune in was Don Imus's show.  He was talking to Bob Kerry, former Sen. from Nebraska. Kerry was saying that Obama would make a good President and one reason is that he likes to work with people from all sides.  Kerry pointed out that Obama, being intelligent, would continue to be friendly towards McCain because Maverick will be a great help to Obama.  Ah, now we're getting somewhere.  Obama knows that Maverick likes sticking it to Repubs while reaching across the aisle to his good friends on the Left like Kennedy, Feingold, Lieberman and the like.  This is going to be perfect for Obama.  He will try to push through his ideas and he will have people on the Right, like McCain, encouraging him.  Yikes. Looks like a no-win situation for us cons.

Now, I wonder how all the Loyalists will feel when they see their guy, Maverick, continue to undermine the Republican Party?

How to Vote

This election 2008 has many voters befuddled.  I want to make it easy to help you, the American voter, decide on how to cast your vote.
The most important thing is not to waste your vote. Some boors and some anarchists like John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, William Jennings Bryan, and Neal Boortz insist that voting for your principles and conscience is the most important thing but they are jerks so don't pay any mind to them. Still, a lot of people are not sure what "waste your vote" means.  A voter will waste his or her vote by voting for any party outside of the two major parties. So keep it simple and vote either Republican or Democrat.

"Why?", you may ask.  This is a boring, irrelevant question.  However, if you insist on satisfying your curiosity, the reason you should vote for only the Republican or Democrat is because that is the way it has always been.  Well, except for about the first 75 years when there were 9 parties from which to choose, each wielding some influence on the national scene.  But the people back then were ignorant and stubborn and did not know what was good for them.  They should have stuck with the original two parties, The Republican Party and the Federalist Party.  Obviously the Republican Party, which is still here today, is the best party because it is still here today.  I don't know why the people let the Federalist Party go out of existence but, thank goodness, we got the Democrat Party to replace it. (although I will tell you right now, the Democrat Party is horrible for America - more on that later.)

Voting is usually about comfort, but sometimes it is about fear.  The way to make yourself feel better is to never change the way you vote. I recommend the Republican Party, but if you decide to go Democrat, well, whatever.  Consistency is the key. Change makes many people who always vote for one party nervous which is always bad and a sure sign that it is doubly important to not waste your vote.

That is why the Republican Party has never changed. Back in the 1790s they were for modest central government, limited commercial activity, and strong farming communities.  They still stand for such things to this very day. Sometimes, people who used to be loyal Americans - those who voted for any and every candidate with an "R" by their names without question - decided to go against their country by asking for change within the party or for the leaders of the Republican Party to get back to its principles and when they didn't get it, they refused to do the right thing and vote for the Republican Party candidate.  The very notion that the Republican Leaders did not know what they were doing or that (even if they actually didn't know what they were doing) these leaders should do what the people wanted was unheard of. America is not the place for dissent within the Parties. Go to Europe if you want that kinda action, my friend.

Modern day Republican leaders like Joe Lieberman, Chuck Hegel, Arnold Schwarzzennegger, George Soros, W, John McCain and Lindsay Graham scold these selfish "Repubs" and tell the "loud" people to "calm down just a little bit".   The loyal voters also look at these un-Americans who don't care about their country as if they're crazy or vain. The loyal voters will say, exasperated, "These people, with their ideas that the Party is drifting Left only a little slower than the evil Democrat Party and, therefore, we should all quit voting for people who supposedly have dragged us Left for 20 years like Bush, Dole, W and McCain (who has voted more times on major bills with the Dem/libs than all the other candidates combined except for Biden), are just being babies. Any year now, the Republican Party will make us feel good again. Anyday now. We just have to keep voting "R". Besides the Democrats might win and then we will do something crazy like nationalizing banking or insurance or home ownerships!" It is this non-change that soothes the loyal, real American voters.

I mentioned before that there have always been only two parties from which to choose except for the first 75 years of the Republic. I just want to make a little side note that there was also a small space of time from 1860-1865 when the Democrats split into two factions. Oh, and also there was the Progressive Party headed by some guy named Roosevelt, the Silver Party, the National Woman's Party, the Farmer-Labor Party, the Black Panther Party, the Communist Party, and the list goes on for a while but since these parties weren't smart enough to be in either the Democrat Party or the Republican Party, they were no good. Although they did have influence on the way things were done in the United States, the point still stands that they should never have gained any attention because if they weren't in either major party, what was the point?  Besides, the United States almost went out of existence each and every time over the past 220 years or so whenever a new fangled party or idea was foisted upon them.  Our fiber, people, systems, and laws are not strong enough to constantly entertain any new directions.  The two major parties are what makes America what it is.

The irrelevant parties mentioned above were called "Third Parties".  Some loyal Americans called them "fringe" parties, and the members "agitators", and "losers".   The first two fair descriptions are obvious, it is the third one that I want to explain to you, the American voter.  If you vote, and your MAJOR party candidate does not win, it does not make you, personally, a loser. If you vote third party, however, and your guy loses, then you are a loser.  Now, some good Americans will be diplomatic and just say that you were doing a protest vote instead of calling you a "loser" because you voted for a third party.

Protest votes are when you don't like either candidate and you maliciously vote for a third party candidate.  Stay with me, cause it gets a bit tricky here: protest votes are only for third party candidates, never for a major party candidate. For instance, and this is silly cause it never happens, if you did not like the Republican candidate because the ratio of policies and beliefs that you agree and disagree on is 1-12, BUT the Democrat candidate is a Democrat, and you fear and or hate him for it, then your vote (naturally for the Republican) is not technically a protest vote because you voted Republican.  And if a Democrat decided that they feared/hated the person who beat their choice for nominee and wanted to vote Repub to show their displeasure - that also is NOT a protest vote.  Only those votes that go for a third party candidate are protest votes.  It does not matter whether the third party candidate and you agree on 90% of ideals and policies, it is still a protest vote and you will be a loser because you voted for him/her.  Conversely, voting for your candidate out of sheer fright or hatred of the other party candidate and not because you like or agree with your candidate is NOT a protest vote. Got it?

To summarize on how you should vote: Vote Republican Party, it saves a lot of trouble.

The Final Debate

My wife and I must live in Bizarro World where everything is the opposite of how things are on planet earth.  McCain whipped Obama last night in the debate.  When we watched the FOX news analysts, however, they must have been watching a different debate. They said Mav didn't do enough, didn't close the deal etc etc.  Last night, the analysts were the ones out of touch with the people.  Ironically, CNN, with their 101 Analysts with laptops, were much more impressed with McCain's performance.

John McCain did a very good job of explaining his positions, many of them suddenly conservative.  Obama rambled like Joe Biden quite a bit and gave repetitive answers from his campaign note cards.  Maverick nailed Obama on taxes, spending, small businesses, healthcare, spreading the wealth, abortion and some others.  Mav finally brought up Ayers, ACORN, and the previously mentioned items.  I guess enough screaming by his lukewarm supporters finally penetrated his stupid staff.  Obama did nothing new.  My wife and I call him the Great ReDirector.  He was doing a bit of the ol' Billy Jeff "The American people don't want to be distracted by associations and judgement, they want to talk about the economy".  Ah, good ol' politicians.  Mav nailed him with a new moniker, "Senator Govt".  Perhaps a slip of the tongue, or was it?  Either way, a real beaut.

Obama handled the Ayers thing deftly, throwing in a bunch of characterless Repubs who also were on the board with Ayers. Shame on them.  Obama lied a couple of times.  He omitted the penalty part of his healthcare plan and he lied about his record on the partial birth vote to help abortion survivors.  Mac was pretty straightforward in his answers, I'll give him that.

If I were undecided, I would be voting for Mac now.  The weird thing is, Luntz's panel had a handful of people who were impressed enough by Obama to switch their votes towards him.  We don't get it.

It's too bad, that as bad as Obama will be, there is still little reason to vote for McCain.  He was in a tough spot and did the best he could.  But this problem started over a decade ago, when the Repubs forgot what got them to power and then did a horrible terrible awful job of explaining, spreading, defending and demonstrating their core conservative principles.  During this time, Mav did little to help anyone but himself, playing to the Left and the Left, it being their nature, turned on him in his time of need.  What a mess. Let's get out our mop and buckets, folks, and get ready to clean up. Again.

Hang in There, Brothers and Sisters

Times are tough for Repubs and cons.  We are on the verge of civil war for keeps.  Cons want a home and Repubs want, well I'm not sure.  I guess they want the lesser of two Socialists to win this time.  But let's not dwell on that because they mean well.  I'm afraid, unless someone gives Mav an extra nad, he's going to lose to the quietly radical Obama. Or as he's known on the ballots in New York, Osama.  Mav just seems to be the wrong guy at the wrong time.

Like most of us, I am really looking forward to this election being over.  I want to join forces again with the Repubs and put cons back in the House and Senate, the Governorships, and the state legislatures all across the country.  I think the electoral map looks like a winner for Obama because there is not much choice out there.  The great Fletch said it best on Pepp's blog:  "I told my parents (again) the other day that it wasn't fair that they got to choose between Kennedy and Goldwater and THIS is the choice we've got."

Once this thing's over I can enjoy aiming my ire solely at Dem/libs where it belongs.  I think even the Stupid Party will have learned to leave the aisle crossers in the Northeast where they belong.  Please, let's never again nominate someone who votes more with the Domestic Enemy Party than the other two DEP members COMBINED.  It is just amazingly foolish.

Here's to hoping that the wounds inflicted unnecessarily by the GOP/Special Interests Powers that Be on us noble and normal Americans will be healed.  I believe, next time around, we can all get behind the right WOMAN, and blow the enemy back to the 60's where they belong.

Townhall Debate

The debate last night was kind of bland.  We've heard most of the rhetoric and positions before.  I think Obama is naive when it comes to foreign affairs.  He's possessed with tracking down Osama - or so he says. Ever notice Dem/libs want to be wherever we're not?  I think it's a red herring for the dimwitted.  Did we ever catch Hitler?  McCain was pretty solid as usual and I would trust him to be smart in matters of national defense. I also trust that Obama would not do anything stupid either.

I learned some new things last night.  McCain wants to nationalize the bad mortgage industry so I really should have taken a 103% loan with cash back afterall.  Maverick will force the banks and mortgage dudes to refinance the loans at current prices.  He only wants what is good for us.  Ignoramuses and greedy people get a do-over.

Obama is going to do two things with which I disagree: 1. He's going to do the commie Big Brother insure everyone around you or else plan.  This plan is that everyone gets health insurance or you pay a fine.  Ahhhh, great.  Another penalty for breathing in this fine country.  If my wife and I do not insure our future kids' health some bean counter is going to send us a ticket to pay up.  Same goes for businesses. Obama is the beneficent tyrant:  "Of course you can refuse my generosity".  He only wants what is good for us.  The second thing is that Obama is going to tax everything that earns over $250,000.  This is the number that He has determined is fair.  How nice.  Obama says that most bidnesses don't earn over that amount anyway PLUS, with his tax schemes, these businesses can actually become MORE prosperous.  One catch though - if the business becomes more prosperous, won't that push it into the taxable zone that Obama has targeted?  I have a feeling that mattresses all across America are going to be getting stuffed with cash.

As for the debate itself, it was very polite.  The candidates distinguished themselves a bit.  The questions were basic as if the Press or some college debate moderator drew them up.  No off the wall questions save one:  What don't you know and how will you learn it?  I guess the Philosophy Professor was let out of the attic on that one.  Obama started his answer with the way most married men would have - He said, "Ask my wife on the first part, she can tell you."

Now for the insidious part.  A while into the debate, I was listening to Obama and had to stop and slap myself in the face.  I realized that this same man was a MoveOn.org Saul Alinskey commie hippy just 2 years ago.  Heck, just 6 months ago, he was attending a Black Power Anti-American Down with Whitey Church of the Loving Jesus Christ.  Now, listening to him, I was sure he was just a mild mannered educated fellow who wanted to be the next JFK.  And on the other side, McCain smoothly slipped in the bomb about nationalizing the mortgage industry and I ignored the rising hairs on the back of my neck.  This is ridiculous.  The next President is going to be either a Progressive Bully or an Appeasing Check Writer.  We just need to get past this election, minimize the damage done by either of these clowns and get cons in charge.

The Incredible Shrinking john mccain

"We need to change the way government does almost everything," - john mccain. Sept. 4, 2008.

"Fight with me. Fight for what's right for our country. Fight for the ideals and character of a free people."  john mccai Sept 4, 2008.

"Let me offer an advance warning to the old, big-spending, do-nothing, me-first, country-second Washington crowd: Change is coming."
- john mcca Sept 4, 2008

"Let's use the best ideas from both sides. Instead of fighting over who gets the credit, let's try sharing it," - john mcc Sept. 4, 2008

"I understand who I work for. I don't work for a party. I don't work for a special interest. I don't work for myself. I work for you,"
- john mc Sept. 4 2008

"Rescue Bill Signed" - Oct 3, 2008.  Mav leads the way.  The bill guarantees no politician gets held responsible for the fiasco.

"My focus is to reform Washington and put government back on the side of working families with tax relief, modern job training, energy independence, more affordable health care, and policies that get spending under control."

So, dear reader, the senator from Arizona reached across that aisle and voted with his friends for a pork laden bill.  And even though it seemed like business as usual in D.C. and the People's voice was ignored by Maverick,  we must not vote for a third party candidate or a wild-eyed liberal.  It would leave us with no voice and would be costly.

Sarah the Knife

With her pearly whites and a twinkle in her eye, Sarah sliced and diced Blowhard Joe Biden last night in the Vice Presidential debate.  I was driving home so I only caught bits of the first half hour.  I was disappointed when Sarah blamed the FreddieMae financial fiasco solely on Wall Street and greedy phantoms.  What does that mean anyway - those guys on Wall Street?  Who are they? See, I figure it started in Congress where most of America's punishments begins. Congress, in the name of social equality, created FreddieMae as well as put pressure on banks and mortgage companies to lend to low income people. Not such a good mathematical idea but, hey, put it on our tab, right?  Naturally, and this is what liberals always fail to understand when dealing with fallable humans, FreddieMae 2.0 went to lending to anyone with no money down and 120% loans OR ELSE.  So the lenders did this.  AH! Wait, thought the Dem/libs (and some scum Repubs as well) we can all make some jack on these loans.  Mr. Lender, you lend to middle class and construction firms too.  You will be guaranteed and why not slip a bit o' money back to us for the trouble. And the good citizens?  Well, if someone who should know tells Jakeera O'Rodriguez that they can afford a McMansion, well, what do you think is gonna happen?  Beautiful.  This Ponzi scheme can just go on forever, no?

But I digress.  It turns out, Sarah's answer turned on a lot of independent voters according to Frank Luntz.  So be it.

The next hour, I think Sarah handed Biden's head to him at least 3 times by using Biden's own words about Obama, the Iraq strategy, and energy policy.  I was bored with her when she used talking points, vagueries, and personal stories but she didn't do it too much.  What I really liked was that she boned up on foreign policy.  She gave some good details about Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq.  The most important thing Sarah Palin did was show what an aass Joe Biden and the Dem/libs are.  And she did it with a smile ala Reagan.  She was not perfect but I like her style.  Sarah has star power and I believe she learns fast.  I can't wait to vote for her and Bobby Jindal in 2012.

Now, Joe Biden.  I told my wife that I liked these two people, Sarah and Joe, way better than the other two losers who are running for President.  I said that Joe Biden is just a BSer and a likeable guy.  My wife said, "He's a liar. I don't like him."  Ah, see why I love her?  She is a no nonsense person.  And that is Joe's strong suit.  He just keeps telling us the same things that he's said since 1972 when he first got to Congress. Biden and Obama keep talking about change and the future but Biden lives in the past. Every other statement he started mentioned the current administration.  What do W's boys have to do with the price of tea in China?  Honestly, I tuned out a bit as Joe droned on.  Of course, that is what he's famous for.  I really got irked with him when Biden said, as if talking to idiots, "It was the GEN-A-RAL of the ARM-MEE. NOT. JOE BIDEN.  The GEN-A-RAL."  I wanted to remind Joe that we were forming our opinions of him based on his JUD-JA-MENT. (remember the Roberts hearings?)

The hilarious thing to me is the audacity that Biden has.  He boldly mischaracterizes things. Now whether he knows it at the time I don't know.  But, without checking, I instinctively knew that Biden was wrong about Mac and Obama voting the same way on funding for the troops.  And we all know that Obama said that he would meet with anyone anywhere including Ahmadinijad.  Joe tried to spin it by saying that Mac and Sarah didn't even know that Ahmadinijihad wasn't the real leader of Iran.  Oh really?  Then why did Obama name him as the guy with whom he would meet, hmmm? hahaha - sucker. And then Joe tried to say that he didn't say that he and Obama were against clean coal whatever it was.  I've listened to the whole exchange several times.  He said it. It seems that the common wisdom is that well, Joe beat Sarah on substance and Sarah won on style.  No. The truth is that Biden was incorrect on what he was saying and Karl Rove immediately busted him on 10 counts of it. So, just like his Congressional record, longevity and sounding informed don't mean squat if you're wrong most of the time.

Gwen Ifil did a fair job and I was amazed at this.  I still think it was insane for the moderator to have several hundred thousand dollars riding on an Obama win but it is par for the course for this crazy election.  I am impressed that the McCain camp showed half a brain by painting Ifil into a corner by praising her for being such a fair and swell journalist. Hardeeharhar.  But it worked. She was kind to Sarah, didn't punish her for calling the Afghan general McClellan instead of McKiernan.  Now, what was really shocking was that she actually read back to Biden his own voting and speaking record! Whaaaaa???!  Since when do mainstream media members actually hold Dem/libs accountable?  How refreshing.  The only annoying thing that she did, and I can't blame her cause that's just how things are these days, was that she also kept prefacing her questions or linking them to W and his administration.

So, once again, Sarah was money when it counted.  I'd want her taking the last shot or making the 20 foot downhill putt for the win in a scramble.  Too bad she's saddled with Mac who is the opposite as he's shown with his "leadership" against pork this week.  Hang tough, sister.  2012 is not that far away.
